Welcome to my music blog. My name is Jing Shen. In my blog, I would like to share some interesting information and stories about Rock & Roll and Punk music.
As a crazy rock fans, I have taken part in plenty of Rock Live shows and music festivals in China and Britain. It is my pleasure to share with you some of my understanding of Rock ‘n’ Roll and Punk.
The development of Rock & Roll music in China is more difficult than western countries. Lots of people prefer to listen to popular music. Because Rock music, especially heavy metal rock, often involves violence and gore. The Chinese government usually restricts rock or punk live shows and other advertising campaign.
In order to attract more audience’s attention, a lead singers of rock bands, Liang Long, choose to become a beauty blogger. He introduced it as “Rock & Roll’s Initial Public Offering (IPO)”.
I will also explore some culture related to punk rock, such as riot grrrl and culture of band tee. Which could broaden our eyes to find more fun in Rock ‘n’ Roll and Punk music and know about China’s rock music culture.
